นักเรียนถาม นิพพานมีลักษณะอย่างไร

พระตอบ นิพพานเป็นเหมือนวันที่ลมแรงโดยไม่ลม วันที่ฝนตกโดยไม่ฝน น้ำท่วมของความทรงจำที่ระเหยในแดดร้อน

Nák-rian thăhm níp-phahn mee lák-sà-nà yàhng-rai?

Phrá dtàwp níp-phahn bpen mĕuan wan thêe lom-raeng doi-mâi lom, wan thêe fŏn-dtòk doi-mâi fŏn, nám-thûam khăwng khwahm-song-jam thêe rá-hĕuy nai dàet ráwn.

Monk answer Nirvana is like day that windy without wind, day that rainy without rain, flood of memory that evaporate in sun hot.

“What is Nirvana like?” asked the student.

“It is like a windy day without wind. A rainy day without rain. A flood of memories evaporating in the hot sun,” replied the monk.
